| Description: | I'll bet many people do not realize that a Cheetah will climb a tree - not a tall tree - but still a tree. Usually they'll use termite mounds as their lookout posts. This mother of two climbed this tree looking for either prey - a nice juicy gazelle - or the enemy, either a lion or a leopard. In all my trips to Africa, this was the first time and the last time I've ever seen a Cheetah climb a tree of any size. I feel fortunate in getting this shot. |
