| Description: | I have wanted Burrowing Owls for I don't know how many years - probably since the first time I saw one in a book. So...I asked my dear friend, Anita, if she wanted to go to Florida and, of course, she did. She's always ready to go on a trip... Anyway, we knew "sort of" where to find these birds, so we started hunting. Once we found them, it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Again, however, you are always at the mercy of the backgrounds and the lighting and the perches they'd stand on. To me they look like the true "wise old owl" with those great big eyes and the odd shape of their heads. |
