Description:This is another "grab" shot through the window of my patio door. I found it odd that a Raccoon and a Opossum could eat side by side but here they are. This Opossum was in really bad shape. I saw him one day and he could barely stand, he kept falling over to one side. At first I thought he was starving and then I thought perhaps he was rabied, but he kept coming up to the house looking for food (he was eating the chaff from the Thistle.) If he was rabied, he wouldn't have been interested in food. So, I bought a bag of corn for him. He kept coming back, but he couldn't walk - he dragged himself - his hind quarters just did not work. I figured he was either hit by a car or an animal attacked him. Anyway, I kept feeding him and then after a few weeks, I never saw him again. I think he probably went off someplace and died.
